we feel that what we offer is unique and as far away from a bed and breakfast experience that you can get; with the emphasis on service and luxury our aim is to make your stay at beech grove house relaxing and stress free, our location is tranquil, peaceful and secluded, but we are only a mile from the sea front at Lyme Regis, a 25 minute walk following the path of the river we have 2.5 acres of parkland style garden for you to enjoy, beautiful to look at it is a a haven for wildlife, deer, badgers, rabbits, hares and foxes are regular visitors, along with many birds, including woodpeckers and buzzards; the wildlife pond teems with life: frogs, toads, newts, dragonfly amongst them, swallows swoop and dip over it, and evenings bring bats to chase the insects |

after a sound nights sleep come down to the dining room, take a look at the sea view whilst you help yourself from the extensive buffet selection before choosing your bespoke breakfast which is served around a communal dining table, this has proved popular with guests, chatting and laughing, sharing ideas for places to eat and visit. take our superb continental breakfast on your balcony or the terrace and enjoy juices, fruit, home made yoghurt, preserves, selection of pastries, cooked meats and cheese, and of course tea and coffee |

on the terrace, which has fine sea views, is the hot tub where you can chill out there are also plenty of sun loungers to catch the rays, take in the gardens or just snooze continental breakfast may be taken here |

beech grove house is set in 2.5 acres of parkland style gardens, which have fantastic sea views, there is a summer house at the top of the garden , and a barbecue lodge which can be used as a summerhouse, and is available to hire for indoor barbecues which to keep it cosy. click here for more pictures of the summerhouse and bbq lodge |

the garden is very much a work in progress, we have created a small orchard at the top and are in the process of putting a fruit and veg cage up (we need protection from the ravages of the local wildlife!!) we keep our own hens (who provide your breakfast eggs) and also have a rooster, but they are far up the garden to minimise the nuisance!! from what was basically a hill with a few trees we have made a useable terraced garden at the bottom with planted banks leading up to the parkland inspired area where we have planted some specimen trees which, hopefully we shall see flower/fruit, even if we don’t see them mature the further up the garden you go the better the views!! |

in 2010 we dug out a 40ft wildlife pond on the lawn at the front of the house; we planted it up quite late in the season but were delighted to see dragon and damsel flies, along with a variety of birds, and late in the evening we were visited by bats; we have had frog, toads and newts (palmate and common) spawn in the pond adjacent to the pond is a large decked area with a canopied sofa, we are have decked around the edges of the pond so that we can walk all the way around, and peer in to see what we can spot there are some photos of the pond so far, but we will update them as it progresses |
